In 2015 the PUBP 3320* did the first waste audit at Georgia Tech. It was a valuable experience: students not only collected and sorted trash but they also produced a quantitative analysis of the impacts of waste management on the Georgia Tech Climate Action Plan.
In 2016 the same class worked on the Georgia Tech Climate Action Plan. They assessed possible mitigation options for Georgia Tech measuring emissions reduction potential and the cost of each option. Everything was finalized in a report.
This year is your turn! In 2017 the PUBP 3320 class will measure its carbon footprint during the whole time in Italy starting from their flight to the avoided emissions of walking instead of taking public/private transportation.
